Kalbi Kaur was raised in West Malaysia following the teachings of the Sikh gurus. She faithfully embraced the rituals of her family’s religion, but her spiritual and emotional longings were not fulfilled until she had a reluctant encounter with Jesus Christ. Kalbi experienced the love and healing power of God. Her life has not been the same since.

Today Kalbi lives in England and is an accomplished Bible teacher, lay preacher, worship leader and fervent prayer warrior. Within weeks of her conversion to Christianity she took a position of leadership in the Nurses Christian Fellowship at the hospital in Southend-on-Sea, England, where she was training to become a nurse. Driven by a thirst for Scripture and a passion to serve others, she quickly realised a gift for teaching and evangelism that has been at the heart of many more endeavours to reach others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 2005 Kalbi established the Flourish Women’s Conference, now an annual event that draws women together from all over the UK and further afield. Kalbi’s passion for women’s ministry sees her leading regular local meetings, whilst television and radio appearances have lead to numerous speaking and preaching engagements at home and abroad.

Kalbi graduated from Spurgeon’s Bible College ‘Equipped to Minister’ course in 2006. Meanwhile, her childhood dream of training to become a teacher was realised when she studied for an NVQ course in Adult Education. Her training continued in 2012 at the Amnos Church Planting School, through which she has more recently honed her great passion to work alongside church leaders in growth and ‘revitalisation’.

Kalbi and her husband David suffered the heartache of infertility for many years but, by God’s grace, they have two children and, until very recently, she has continued her work as a District Nurse. She now looks to a future in full-time ministry. Whilst many of her engagements are ‘hands on’ – organising praise and worship events, working with pastors and leaders and addressing conferences – one of her greatest joys is as a prayer warrior for the Street Pastors of her home town.

Equally at home ministering to intimate ladies’ breakfast meetings as addressing large conference crowds, Kalbi delivers a message of redemption and love with strikingly sweet honesty and deep humility. A slight, soft-spoken lady, she packs a powerful punch for the Gospel and shines with the reality of a life given to the service of her Saviour, Jesus Christ.
